Abuja, Nigeria | June 26, 2026 — eHealth Africa (eHA), in collaboration with the EHA Group, has announced the 2026 edition of the Insights Learning Forum (ILF), its flagship continental convening and ecosystem platform dedicated to advancing digital health transformation, strengthening public systems, and accelerating scalable innovation across Africa.

Scheduled for July 28–29, 2026, in Abuja, Nigeria, ILF 2026 will bring together government leaders, development partners, investors, innovators, researchers, private sector actors, and implementation experts under the theme: “Insights. Partnerships. Inclusion. Interoperability. Investment.”

This year’s edition is being delivered in strategic collaboration with the Africa HealthTech Summit (AHTS) and Dala Africa, expanding the forum’s reach across Africa’s policy, innovation, investment, and implementation ecosystems.

ILF serves as a convening platform for advancing partnerships, investment, and implementation pathways that help scale proven solutions across Africa. As countries continue to invest in digital infrastructure, artificial intelligence, health data systems, and innovation ecosystems, critical challenges remain around interoperability, sustainable financing, institutional integration, and scale. ILF 2026 is designed to help address these challenges by creating a space where stakeholders can move beyond dialogue toward action.

Speaking ahead of the forum, Atef Fawaz, Executive Director of eHealth Africa, said: “Africa’s most pressing health and development challenges require coordinated action. ILF 2026 creates a space where governments, funders, innovators, implementers, and private sector leaders can align around shared priorities, build strategic partnerships, and accelerate solutions that deliver sustainable impact at scale.”

Also speaking ahead of the forum, Ota Akhigbe, Director of Partnerships and Programs at eHealth Africa, emphasized the importance of moving from innovation to implementation.

“Africa does not have a shortage of innovation. What we need are stronger systems, deeper collaboration, and clearer pathways for scaling solutions that already work. ILF 2026 is designed to strengthen partnerships, unlock financing opportunities, and support the adoption of interoperable systems that improve health outcomes across the continent.”

For the Africa HealthTech Summit, the collaboration represents an opportunity to strengthen connections between innovation, investment, and implementation.

Jean Philbert Nsengimana, Chairman of the Africa HealthTech Summit and Chief Digital Advisor at Africa CDC, noted that enabling innovators to scale requires stronger support systems, investment in public digital infrastructure, and ecosystems that connect innovators with investors, regulators, and implementation partners.

ILF 2026 is expected to attract more than 300 in-person participants and over 1,500 virtual attendees. Discussions will focus on digital public infrastructure, artificial intelligence, health financing, interoperability, investment, climate and health, supply chain innovation, energy for resilient health systems, and scalable implementation models capable of strengthening public systems across Africa.

Beyond the two-day forum, ILF 2026 forms part of a broader engagement platform that includes stakeholder consultations, thematic dialogues, webinars, and strategic partnerships designed to translate conversations into lasting collaborations and measurable outcomes.

Individuals and organizations interested in participating in ILF 2026 are invited to submit an Expression of Interest. While in-person attendance is subject to venue capacity and participant selection, all registered participants will have the opportunity to join virtually and engage in the forum’s discussions and learning sessions.
