eHealth Africa Signs Strategic Agreement with Kano State Ministries to Strengthen Health and Technology Systems

Kano, Nigeria – eHealth Africa is pleased to announce the signing of a strategic tripartite agreement with the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Science and Technology, Kano State. This marks a significant milestone in our goal to champion innovation and collaboration aimed at strengthening public health systems and enhancing technological integration in underserved communities.

This collaboration reflects our commitment to strategic growth through partnerships that deliver meaningful impact. The agreement presents a unique opportunity to work closely with key state stakeholders to improve healthcare delivery and digital infrastructure across the state.

The partnership will focus on strengthening disease surveillance through improved data systems that support prevention, timely detection, and coordinated responses to public health threats. In addition, hospital and pharmaceutical inventory management will be digitized to improve transparency, efficiency, and accountability in resource utilization. Another key component is the transition from paper-based medical records to a robust Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system, accompanied by comprehensive training for healthcare workers to ensure effective and widespread adoption.

Furthermore, the agreement includes initiatives to expand technological infrastructure across both the health and education sectors. This effort aims to bridge the digital divide, equip local institutions with tools for innovation, and cultivate a new generation of digitally skilled professionals in the state.

Speaking during the signing of the agreement, Atef Fawaz, Executive Director of eHealth Africa said: “This partnership represents a transformative step toward building a more connected, responsive, and resilient health ecosystem in Nigeria”.

We are honored to collaborate with the Kano State Ministries of Health and Science and Technology to deliver impactful, community-centered solutions that improve lives,” he added.

eHealth Africa extends its sincere appreciation to all team members and partners whose commitment and expertise made this partnership possible. As we continue to empower communities with sustainable, technology-driven solutions, we remain focused on driving inclusive growth and achieving stronger health outcomes across the region.
